Check out these cool shops on the RED DOT

and you thought our island is devoid of creative nooks and crannies...Humptydump suggests this itinerary. the shops are all within walking distance and can be covered in one day.... provided you can resist the temptation to linger...

1st stop: Doinkydoodles at Bali Lane - Lotsa Handmade goodness. am trying to get humptydump's stuff sold there :)

arrrggh.... more from Doinky Doodles

2nd stop - MomLuvDIY at Level 2 Concept Story - 44 Haji Lane::
Love these handmade pouches, tissue covers, passport holders created by MomLuvDIY. Reminds me of the time I HAD TO HAVE THOSE coveted SANRIO stuff when we were young. and they are original SANRIO fabrics, not the pirated ones with totally wrong colours. Kitsch but adorable.

3rd Stop: From afar, these look like old rusty milk tin cans but examine them up close and you will see that your eyes have been playing tricks on you. This and more stationery and lifestyle products at CatSocrates.  Bras Basah Complex #03-39B Bain Street::Open everyday from 12pm to 8pm:: 6333 0870

Humptydump survey - where to cut great short hair in singapore (updated on 20 Jan 11')

Friends recommended these places to check out. I personally subjected my mane to an experiment at Kizuke+LIM and was blown away by my other-worldly creation by Oba.

Check these out too!
Priscilla - J Salon - Far East Plaza - #05-117 - 6235 0622
Kel - NEXT Salon - Holland Village - 97951521
Eric - Shunji Matsuo - Wisma Atria - 97505430

Do check out this unique hair salon at Raffles Hotel. It's therapy for the soul though a haircut by Ryu Oba, the talented 25-year old store manager/stylist sets you back by S$80 on average. Hair styles are cutting-edge tokyo style. Blunt fringes, eccentric and with a touch of whimsy, you get the idea. Call  + 65 6221 6320. Address:: 328 North Bridge Road Raffles Hotel Arcade #03-03/04 Singapore 188719
