These are those hole-in-the-wall-gems at Ann Siang. Thank god they have more sign boards now. Lovely cakes (a must-try: the strawberry tart) baked fresh from the sweestest and juiciest strawberries around, fragrant vanilla cream and the sweetest pastry tart. 1. We bought so many cards in London... we think the lady at Scribblers probably thought Humptydump came from the mountains. Discovered Rob Ryan, more nonsense from Edward Monkton and and nuvuestudio.com. Prices around S$6.00 per card. Frame them if you can't bear to give it away... Check out Rob Ryan's paper cut-outs.

Liberty Market - From the exterior this looks like a staid Tudor-style building but step inside and it is a treasure trove for cutting-edge women and men's wear from the likes of A.P.C., Christopher Kane and Jil Sander, obscure perfumeries and beautiful furnishings, gifts and fabrics. Totally enchanting and in a class of its own. Prices range from S$100 for a keyring by Mulberry to the-sky's-the-limit. High-end but worth a visit just for its stylish merchandise display ideas.
