Nut the Squirrel makes its debut at Humptydump

Once upon a time, there lived a tiny squirrel. He was smaller than other fellow squirrels, standing stoutly at a height of 10 cm. However our dear little friend has lofty ambitions. He wants to climb the highest mountains and scale the tallest trees. He has the courage of a lion and is never afraid to try anything at least once. We love him dearly, and he is available for pre-order. Made from recycled mohair gloves.

A random experiment

Humptydump was fiddling with bits of left-over garden glove scraps and fashioned this tiny pocket bunny brooch. A bit dumpy, a bit funny and quite eccentric, is what we made of Flattie.

Born at Christmas

These two fellows were made for a special friend to be gifted to another friend at Christmas. Especially cheery, Fluke and Tappy must be enjoying themselves in the homes of their new owners. These guys wear their hearts on their sleeves.

Fluke loves his ribbons

Tappy getting to know his new found friend, who doesn't seem too interested.

Pandy loves her new friend

Pandy was made as a farewell gift for a good friend of ours. She may look nonchalant but this little lady has a warm heart. Obviously so, as she found a friend in Ginger almost immediately. Check out their first photo together.

Sold - A fellow who knows his cars well

Introducing Mike, a jolly fellow who loves his cars. He is rather well versed in Matchbox and Hotwheels. And he has a cheery smile to beat.

Dolls made from children's drawings

We at Humptydump love relishing the past, especially our carefree childhood days. what better way to do this than looking at children's drawings and admiring the simple and timeless qualities of these works, done through untainted minds.

Send your drawings now to twopolkadots@gmail.com, Humptydump's toy manufacturing 'arm', and we promise to make your doodles come true!

A search through Google reveals childsownstudio, a site that actually reworks drawings into plush toys. That's like our dream job come true!

A look here at what else we discovered:

He is the guy who thinks the world of himself

Don't think he has ever flown anything let alone fly a paper aeroplane. But Howard's ego is huge like a hot air balloon, literally. He wears his pilot attire proudly, and goes around telling everyone tales of his travels, albeit from his fantasies.

And Dumpy makes it through again

Humptydump had a roller coaster week, what with granny's hospitalization and moving into a new place all at once. But there is always therapy in the form of our glove dolls. Introducing Dumpy. He slouches too much, is imperfect but he doesn't care a hoot. He lives life the way he wants it.

Humptydump goes to the LASALLE Arts Market!

We love each and every of our hand-made dolls, so much that we can't bear to part with them every time we complete one. Thank you to everyone who has adopted one/two/a few of our babies. The last we asked, all of them have found lovely owners, and that's great to hear.
