HumptyDump checks out MUST GO BEFORE YOU DIE places in London

1. We bought so many cards in London... we think the lady at Scribblers probably thought Humptydump came from the mountains. Discovered Rob Ryan, more nonsense from Edward Monkton and and nuvuestudio.com. Prices around S$6.00 per card. Frame them if you can't bear to give it away... Check out Rob Ryan's paper cut-outs.

2. Liberty Market - From the exterior this looks like a staid Tudor-style building but step inside and it is a treasure trove for cutting-edge women and men's wear from the likes of A.P.C., Christopher Kane and Jil Sander, obscure perfumeries and beautiful furnishings, gifts and fabrics. Totally enchanting and in a class of its own. Prices range from S$100 for a keyring by Mulberry to the-sky's-the-limit. High-end but worth a visit just for its stylish merchandise display ideas. Liberty's at Regent Street London. Address and Opening Hours

3. When is Urban Outfitters, Beyond Retro, H&M and American Apparel coming to Singapore?!

The Lawn Top from American Apparel. nearly
bought this at S$42. So versatile

Rows and rows of affordable vintage. Prices from S$39 for a dress. At Beyond Retro

Merry making

Humptydump actually sewed this felt elephant about 2 years back during the merrier days.

Shall find time again to dive back into the craze of making these cute dollies and will not let go of the needle and thread that easily.

"William Henry Channing's Symphony" by Arthur Brisbane
(an editorial from the Hearst Newspapers, ca. 1920)

THE THOUGHT--
To live content with small means; to seek elegance rather than luxury, and refinement rather than fashion; to be worthy, not respectable, and wealthy, not, rich; to listen to stars and birds, babes and sages, with open heart; to study hard; to think quietly, act frankly, talk gently, await occasions, hurry never; in a word, to let the spiritual, unbidden and unconscious, grow up through the common--this is my symphony.
WILLIAM HENRY CHANNING.

Sleepy dollies

Bought these knitted dolls from a simple street market store in Bangkok.

You can even get each of them tailormade by choosing the color combi that you fancy.

Very appreciative and wowed by the shop's owner excellent service. The lovely lady actually agreed most readily to knit the dollies for me in a matter of 2 days (due to my short trip) at no extra cost, despite the cheap prices! Shall update the cost once I find the receipt :)

Happy treats

from Dunkin' Donuts at MBK (BKK) last X'mas.

An interesting twist to numericals

Captured this at P2 Boutique hotel in Bangkok where humptydump stayed for a short vacation.

Still very inspired by the way each of the levels is numbered by a canvas painting (slightly larger than A4 size)created from simple motifs and colours.

who fills that space in your heart
